Professional Driver Improvement Course

In addition to the Safety and Training Programs, SMS Rents offers a Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC). This four hour course is for professional drivers with a Class AZ and DZ license in Ontario and for Drivers of a Class 1 and 3 license in Quebec. The course is designed to instruct experienced drivers on how to understand vehicle and road design, human factors and advanced driving skills. The Professional Driver Improvement Course training program from SMS Rents is an ideal mechanism for delivering cost-efficient training to experienced drivers. It increases their awareness of safe and defensive driving practices.

This is a refresher course that covers:

Vehicle inspection
Hours of service
Dangerous goods
Load securement
Fighting fatigue
Wildlife accident protection

Upon completing the course, the driver receives a certificate of completion for PDIC which includes an update of their existing Dangerous Goods Certificate.
