SMS Rents Heats Up For State-of-the-art Infrastructure Project

SMS Rents recently announced that they have once again made a significant investment in their heating division. Their strategy of investing in new fleets will not only ensure that their customers’ growing needs are met in the coming years, but will also help them to continue offering the rental industry with one of the youngest rental fleets in their trading area.

New fleet goes right to work

Working with our customers to identify their long term equipment needs is what allows us to have such a diverse product offering. One project that is currently utilizing our newest edition of heating equipment is amongst Canada’s top 100 infrastructure projects of 2012. The new Forensic Services and Coroner’s Complex (FSCC) being built by Carillion Canada, is currently underway in the Province-owned Downsview complex in Toronto. Shovels hit the ground in August 2010 and the completion has been scheduled for January 2013.

This impressive, state-of-the-art, $497 million, 550,000 sq. ft. facility, will for the first time, house the office of the Chief Coroner, the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service and the Centre of Forensic Sciences.  The structure will include forensic laboratories, offices, autopsy suites and two courtrooms for coroner's inquests.
